This is a history and genealogy web site but does not contain the typical dry statistics. Information is included on the site to assist historians and genealogists in White Pine County, Nevada research.
Extensive research has been done on the different place names. Yes - the statistics are there, but also included are stories of those who lived in the area to help researchers know the lifestyles of those early pioneers who made White Pine County the great place it is to live today! Directions to these old ghost towns are included for those who want to visit the old sites. Not only have we researched
the history, but we have visited each site we have online.
Are you unable to get to White Pine County to do research? We will do it for you for a modest fee. Our fees are listed at Services.
Updated May 9, 2005: White Pine County Postmasters. The first three postmasters in Baker - George T. Smith, Charles Peck and Robert Peck - have been added. They were inadvertenly left off the web page. (Old timers strikes again!)
Should the critical reader find errors and omissions, it is hoped he/she will remember the fallibility of man. Constructive criticism is appreciated! Please Email me if any of my links are broken, there are typo's, historical inaccuracies, or if there is some way I can make the site easier for researchers to navigate. Your input is appreciated! It is very difficult to edit myself!
If anyone has pictures of White Pine County to share, we would love to use them. They will be fully credited to the proper person.
